Alexander does not possess the deep threat of Budinger, possessing a rare developed mid-range game with an ability to score both facing up or back to the basket. Strong, aggressive scoring threat. He declared yesterday, and he fits both of our needs: interior offense, and perimeter shooting. We could take him with our later 1st round pick. He reminds me a lot of a Boki Nachbar with more of an inside game. At some point we need to take a Sg-SF that can flat out play defense. After we traded Kidd our defense stunk, especially later after the trade. Taking some type of a swingman that when we put in the game we can trust to play good defense on the other teams best shooter/scorer would be huge. How about Joe Alexander?
