Good observation, Alexander became official after this posted. Alexander does not possess the deep threat of Budinger, possessing a rare developed mid-range game with an ability to score both facing up or back to the basket. Strong, aggressive scoring threat. Played great in the tournament, love his game.

Few things the Nets need to consider, Alexander does not fit the transition game, and will his defense scare them away.

How about Joe Alexander? He declared yesterday, and he fits both of our needs: interior offense, and perimeter shooting. We could take him with our later 1st round pick. He reminds me a lot of a Boki Nachbar with more of an inside game.

At some point we need to take a Sg-SF that can flat out play defense. After we traded Kidd our defense stunk, especially later after the trade. Taking some type of a swingman that when we put in the game we can trust to play good defense on the other teams best shooter/scorer would be huge.
